Pastor Garry McCaffery

 

 

 

Rev. Garry E. McCaffery has been serving as a United Methodist pastor since the age of 20.  He has served two-point and single station charges with memberships ranging from 35 to 170.  He was ordained and Elder in the United Methodist Church on June 9, 2002.  Rev. McCaffery is originally from the Western New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church where he served until December 2006.  In January of 2007 he and his family moved to the North Carolina Annual Conference under the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit.

    Throughout the course of his pastoral career Rev. McCaffery has been actively involved in seeking many ways to connect people with Christ.  From 2001 – 2006 he developed, hosted, and produced various radio programs with stations located in Buffalo, New York and Rochester, New York.  In 2001 he began work developing a ministry organization to produce teaching tapes dealing with a wide range of topics from abundance to worry.  Most recently he has been at work coaching people who desire to take their life to the next level.

    Rev. McCaffery graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in 1995 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion and Philosophy and in 1999 he graduated from Colgate Rochester Divinity School with a Masters Degree in Theology.  He has taken various continuing education courses covering such topics as Evangelism, prayer, leadership, and coaching.

    Rev. McCaffery and his wife, Laura, have one daughter, Rachel, who is 11.  Their interests and hobbies include camping (RVing), swimming, bike riding, fishing, hiking, going to the library, and writing.
